Katy Perry's rendition of the classic Beatles song will accompany GAP's new ad campaign.
This Monday, October 25, Katy Perry has her birthday and on this special occasion, she revealed that she has recorded a cover of "All You Need Is Love", a classic Beatles song released in 1957.
The song was recorded as part of a campaign for GAP, the largest clothing retailer in the United States.
It is worth noting that for each stream of the "All You Need Is Love" cover of digital platforms, GAP will donate $ 1 to Baby2Baby, a non-profit organization that donates basic baby items to families in need.
"My daughter is really the reason I chose Baby2Baby for the GAP campaign," Katy Perry told Vogue.
"I know very well how much you want to give to your child and there are people who do not have the means to do so," he explained.
"One of my first jobs when I was 16 was at a GAP store in Santa Barbara. Little did I know that 20 years later I would be making my debut in one of those iconic GAP commercials. It's just an important moment. "It was a moment that was on my wish list," he continued.
Katy Perry admits she was a little nervous about thinking of recording a cover for a Beatles song, as it would be a big responsibility.
"You do not want to make it to the sea in a Beatles song. And also, once you put it on streaming services, it will be there forever. This is just tragic. "So I took my time," he said.
