Demi Lovato: "I'm in great shape"


"It's a really nice feeling, but I don't know what I'm going to do."

It's no secret that Demi Lovato has faced a lot of problems over the years, battling eating disorders, substance abuse and depression.

The 30-year-old pop star struggled with addiction in the years following her rise through the Disney Channel and subsequently adopted an emo image in her music.

However, Demi Lovato has been sober for over a year and joked on CBS Mornings that she has "no idea" what she'll write about on her next album because she's "so happy."

"I'm definitely in a very good condition. I don't know what I'll write about in my next album because I'm so happy. It's a really nice feeling, but I don't know what I'm going to do. A bunch of salty love songs for sure!” he declared.

Demi Lovato also talked about the importance emo music has always had in her life and explained how emo influenced her latest album, 'Holy Fvck'.

“Whether it's about anxiety, love, or sadness – there are songs for everyone in here. I've always made music to be a kind of inspiration to other people while doing what I love," he said.

"I grew up listening to this music, so I wanted to go back to my roots," he said.

“Whether you're depressed or having fun with your friends, there are so many emotions in this music. I think this generation is hungry for it,” he added.

Demi Lovato, who has been in a relationship with Canadian singer Jute$ since August 2022, previously admitted that she is now "in control" of her life after her tumultuous years and hinted that she would like to start a family.

"I've really figured out who I am, and I often say this every time I get older, but I've never felt so confident and grounded," she said.

"Staying true to who I am, growing and finding my own voice has been very important to me. Now I understand that I am in control of my life, I make my own decisions and I am my own boss," she continued. .

“My bucket list doesn't include things like jumping out of a plane because I've already done it and as I get older I get more scared so I won't do it again, but things like having a family are very important to me. This is the essence of life," he said.
