ADÉLA leans fully into pop-star fantasy with “Nicole Kidman,” one of the standout tracks from her debut album PRIMA. Released with an official music video on September 4, 2026, the song turns glamour, control and celebrity imagery into a playful statement of confidence.
The track was produced by Blake Slatkin and Dylan Brady, with Julia Michaels among the additional songwriters. Its lyrics revolve around feeling powerful, glamorous and completely in command, using Nicole Kidman as the ultimate symbol of movie-star presence. ADÉLA has explained that the idea came after attending a Golden Globes event, where the styling and atmosphere made her feel like Kidman herself.
Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the video pushes that concept even further. ADÉLA recreates and references several of Kidman’s best-known screen moments, drawing inspiration from Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge!, Birth and Babygirl, as well as the actress’s famous AMC Theatres commercial. The result is deliberately theatrical, fashion-heavy and cinematic, turning the video into both a tribute and a larger-than-life performance piece.
“Nicole Kidman” also fits naturally into the wider world of PRIMA, an album centered on ambition, image, self-definition and the pursuit of pop stardom. Co-executive produced by Slatkin and Brady, the record presents ADÉLA as an artist increasingly comfortable turning her own experiences and pop-culture obsessions into part of her identity.
With its sharp hook, provocative lyrics and highly stylized video, “Nicole Kidman” captures ADÉLA at her most self-aware. Rather than simply referencing Hollywood glamour, she uses it as a way to frame her own growing confidence and the larger-than-life persona at the center of her debut era.
